Metrocom Security (“MetroCom ,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) designs, installs, and supports subscription-free smart security solutions for commercial and residential properties. Our headquarters is located at 8301 River Road, Suite 1060, North Bergen, NJ 07047, USA. We operate the website Metrocomsecurity.com and related customer portals (collectively, the “Site”) as well as cloud and mobile applications used to manage MetroCom systems (the “Services”).

Scope of This Notice

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you:

  • Request a quotation, schedule a consultation, or open a support ticket.
  • Use a MetroCom mobile or web application.

  • Analytics & improvements – evaluate site performance, enhance features based on aggregated usage trends.

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with:
  • Authorized installers & service partners who assist with on-site implementation or repairs;
  • Cloud hosting & SaaS vendors (e.g., AWS, Microsoft 365, CRM, ticketing) under confidentiality agreements;
  • Payment processors (PCI-DSS Level 1) for secure transaction handling;
  • Regulatory or law-enforcement bodies when legally compelled or to protect rights and safety;
  • Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (notice provided if material changes occur).

International Transfers

We store data on secure servers in the United States. Where GDPR applies and data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms.

Data Retention

  • Prospect enquiries – retained 24 months from last contact.
  • Customer account data – retained for the life of the contract + 7 years for legal/financial record-keeping.
  • Audit logs – retained up to 12 months unless required longer for investigations.
You may request deletion sooner where applicable law allows.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may:
  • Access, correct, or delete personal data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Receive an electronic copy (portability);
